Gawuna meets Kwankwaso in Kano after dumping APC
Former governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, on Monday visited former governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, at his Miller Road residence in Kano.
The meeting, which took place on the evening of March 30, 2026, was described as a courtesy visit by the former deputy governor.
The development comes barely 24 hours after Gawuna announced his resignation from the APC, further fueling speculations about his next political move.
Although details of the closed-door meeting were not disclosed, observers believe it may be connected to the ongoing political realignments in Kano State, where key actors have continued to shift alliances ahead of future elections.
The visit has intensified discussions around a possible alliance between Gawuna and Kwankwaso, as political activities begin to gather momentum in the state.
