Grace Ike-led NUJ FCT begins major infrastructure upgrade at One-Year anniversary
Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council have been invited to participate in a major milestone event as the Comrade Grace Ike–led Executive marks its one-year anniversary with a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony for the remodelling of the Council Hall.
The event, scheduled as part of activities celebrating the administration’s first year in office under the banner “One Voice, New Era,” is expected to bring together journalists, stakeholders, and friends of the Council as it begins a new phase of institutional renewal and infrastructural development.
According to the notice issued by the Secretary of Council, Comrade Jide Oyekunle, the anniversary and groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the NUJ FCT Secretariat in Utako, Abuja. The programme is slated to begin at 3:00 p.m. prompt.
The Council describes the project as a transformative step aimed at enhancing the working environment for members, deepening collaboration, and reinforcing the union’s commitment to professionalism and operational excellence.
Members are encouraged to attend and lend their support as the union charts a refreshed direction for the years ahead.
