‘I am awaiting FG’s approval to flush out terrorists in South-West’ – Sunday Igboho
Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has said he is patiently waiting for approval from the Federal Government to begin operations against terrorists and other criminal elements in the South-West.
Igboho stated that his security outfit, Iru Ekun Security Network, is fully prepared to commence operations aimed at flushing out terrorists and criminals hiding in forests across the region.
The Yoruba nation activist also said he would fully comply with the Executive Order recently introduced by the Oyo State Government regulating the activities of private security organisations operating within the state.
Igboho made this known in a statement on Monday, reiterating that all required documentation and procedural prerequisites for the approval of Iru Ekun Security Network had already been submitted to the Federal Government.
He applauded President Bola Tinubu for what he described as a firm commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture, particularly in the South-West.
“We have submitted all the required documents for our registered security firm, Iru Ekun Security Network, and are only waiting for the Federal Government approval which will be granted soon.
“We are absolutely ready to collaborate with the police, Department of State Service, DSS, Nigeria Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, and other relevant stakeholders in the security sector to flush out terrorists, kidnappers, bandits, and other hoodlums, who are threatening the peace and safety of our people, most especially in rural communities,” Igboho said.
