INEC updates NDC logo, leadership details on official website
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has updated its official website with the new logo of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
The commission also updated the party’s leadership details, listing Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe as the National Chairman and Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu as the National Secretary.
The updated records also name John Odey as the National Treasurer, while Mainasara Abubakar Sani is listed as the National Financial Secretary.
Reuben Egwuaba is also listed as the NDC’s National Legal Adviser on the INEC website.
The commission marked the five leadership positions as having been updated ‘by court order’, indicating that the NDC’s party logo on its platform is recognised in compliance with a court order.
This came after a judgment delivered by Justice J. O. Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja in a case involving the NDC and INEC.
The case, filed under suit number FHC/ABJ/CS/1814/2026, centred on the party’s demand for recognition of its modified logo and colour design.
The NDC had challenged INEC’s refusal to recognise and upload the logo adopted by the party after its first National Executive Committee meeting.
Justice Abdulmalik, in the judgment delivered on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, ruled in favour of the party.
According to the court, the refusal of INEC to recognise the modified logo was unconstitutional, illegal and amounted to an infringement of the rights of the political party.
