JUST IN: Salah joins Trabzonspor on two-year contract
Mohamed Salah has officially joined Turkish side Trabzonspor on a two-year contract following his departure from Liverpool as a free agent.
The Egyptian forward, who brought his successful spell at Anfield to an end this summer, will now continue his career in the Turkish Süper Lig.
His signing is widely regarded as one of the most significant transfers in Trabzonspor’s history.
Salah leaves Liverpool as one of the club’s most celebrated players after spending nine memorable years with the Reds.
During his time at Anfield, he scored an impressive number of goals and helped the club win several major trophies, including the Premier League title and the UEFA Champions League.
Salah’s move to Trabzonspor has generated significant excitement among supporters, with fans welcoming the arrival of a global football star. The 34-year-old forward is expected to bring experience, goals, and leadership as the Turkish club aims to compete domestically and in European competitions.
According to Sky Sports News on Thursday, “Mohamed Salah has now signed his two-year contract with Trabzonspor . The former Liverpool winger signs on a free transfer after he departed Anfield earlier this summer.”
The move ends months of speculation over Salah’s future following his departure from Liverpool and gives Trabzonspor one of the most high-profile signings in Turkish football history.
Very Nigerian had reported that Salah had received a warm welcome from hundreds of supporters in Turkey as he arrived in Istanbul ahead of his expected move to Trabzonspor.
