Kaduna, Kebbi ADC adopt Atiku as sole presidential candidate
Atiku Abubakar has received endorsements from state chapters of the African Democratic Congress in Kaduna and Kebbi, where party leaders reportedly adopted him as their preferred and sole presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In Kaduna State, the ADC leadership and stakeholders’ forum said the endorsement was based on Atiku’s experience in governance, long-standing political record, and what they described as his capacity to unite diverse interests across the country.
Party officials said the decision was aimed at strengthening the party’s chances ahead of the primaries scheduled for tomorrow.
Similarly, in Kebbi State, the ADC chapter also formally endorsed Atiku, describing his candidacy as widely acceptable and consistent with the party’s ambition to present a strong contender against other major political parties in the 2027 race.
The endorsements reflect growing internal alignment within some state structures of the ADC as the party intensifies preparations for its presidential primary elections and broader negotiations over its flagbearer ahead of the general elections.
