The late singer Ifunanya Nwangene has been buried in her hometown in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, just days after her sudden death.

Ms Nwangene passed away at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abuja, after being bitten by a snake at her home on January 31, 2026.

Her tragic death has sparked widespread shock, with fans and colleagues flooding social media with tributes and condolences in memory of the talented singer.

The FMC was accused of lacking anti-venom treatment, ultimately leading to the musician’s death, a claim the medical centre denied.

Widely regarded by admirers as exceptionally gifted, the singer was celebrated for her distinctive voice and deep passion for music.
