The Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba, has launched a probe into the sudden deaths of two Nollywood production crew members discovered lifeless inside a parked vehicle in Lekki Phase 1, where a movie was being filmed.

The deceased have been identified as Godstime Imeh, a lighting director and CEO of GeeTee Light, and Walter Odediran, a creative video director known as Director Carrinqton. Both men were found on the evening of Saturday, February 7, 2026, inside Imeh’s Nissan vehicle. The film production was reportedly directed by former Big Brother Naija housemate, Boma.

Sources revealed that the duo arrived early to install lighting equipment for a medical scene at Evercare Hospital. After completing their setup around mid-morning, they rested inside the tinted vehicle while awaiting further instructions. At approximately 11 a.m., a crew member delivered breakfast of yam and omelette. The two men were last seen reclining in the car with the air-conditioning running. By noon, attempts to reach them went unanswered, and their colleagues later discovered them motionless in the vehicle around 7–8 p.m.

Speaking to Vanguard, Kola Odediran, Walter’s elder brother, described the grim scene: “My brother was seated upright with foam at his mouth, while GeeTee was slumped, with blood from his nose, eyes, and mouth. It appeared whatever happened occurred suddenly.” He lamented the slow initial police response, noting that the case had to be escalated from Maroko Police Station to SCID, Yaba, where it was formally documented as an unnatural death requiring autopsy.

Authorities have confirmed that they are questioning the film producer, Boma, the staff member who delivered the meal, and hospital management as part of ongoing investigations.
