The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate for Zamfara Central, Sanusi Bala Turaki Maituta, has unveiled a comprehensive policy blueprint ahead of the 2027 general elections, anchored on what he described as Capacity, Experience, Exposure, and Wisdom (C.E.E.W.).

Tagged the “2027 Policy Agenda and Strategic Development Blueprint,” Maituta said his vision is to build a “secure, prosperous, educated, and economically empowered Zamfara Central” where citizens have access to opportunities and effective representation.

The agenda outlines key priority areas including security, education, youth empowerment, economic growth, social welfare, and grassroots infrastructure development.

On security, Maituta pledged to advocate stronger federal intervention against banditry and kidnapping in Zamfara, support legislation to strengthen security agencies, and promote community-based intelligence systems.

In education, he promised expanded scholarships, improved school infrastructure, vocational training programmes, and increased support for girl-child education and teacher development.

The blueprint also emphasizes youth empowerment through entrepreneurship support, skills acquisition, agricultural programmes, and access to business funding to reduce unemployment in the region.

On economic development, Maituta said he would push for support for SMEs, investment attraction, agricultural value-chain expansion, and improved access to finance for local businesses, including women entrepreneurs and cooperatives.

He further pledged social protection programmes targeting widows, orphans, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups, alongside improved healthcare outreach.

In the area of infrastructure, the PDP candidate highlighted rural road construction, electrification projects, clean water access, and improved healthcare facilities as key development priorities.

Maituta also emphasized what he called “ending political slavery,” stressing transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance as central pillars of his representation.

He said his legislative agenda would focus on protecting the interests of Zamfara Central, attracting federal projects, empowering youths and women, and promoting unity across communities.

The candidate concluded by describing his campaign as “a strong voice for the people and a clear vision for progress,” urging constituents to support his bid in the 2027 elections.
