Ngozi Chukwukere appointed Mbadiwe University Vice Chancellor
Professor Frances Ngozi Chukwukere has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of K.O. Mbadiwe University, Ogboko, Imo State.
Her appointment followed the approval of the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma.
Chukwukere will take over the leadership of the university as its new Vice Chancellor, bringing her academic experience to the institution.
In a press statement, the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, said Chukwukere’s appointment takes immediate effect.
Before her appointment, Chukwukere was a Professor of Linguistics at the Imo State University, Owerri.
A brief biography of the new VC revealed that she is well known for her work in indigenous knowledge, health-related advocacy and language preservation.
Chukwukere was also among those recently appointed by Ohanaeze Ndigbo to help revive and strengthen the Igbo language.
