Oyo govt demolishes suspected kidnappers’ den in Ibadan

The Oyo State Government has started demolishing a building allegedly used as a hideout by the kidnappers of the sister of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and her twin children.

The development was confirmed in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, following reports that the property served as a base for the abductors.

The victims were kidnapped last Wednesday but were successfully rescued by the police on Saturday after efforts by security operatives.

Our correspondent gathered that the state government has moved the necessary equipment to the area to demolish the house.

The house is located at Lakoun Estate, Olomi-Olojuoro Road, in Oluyole Local Government Area.

Very Nigerian gathered that the demolition is being carried out on Monday by officials of the Oyo State Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, accompanied by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force.
