Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, on Wednesday participated in the “Fostering the Future Together Summit” hosted by Melania Trump at the White House.

The summit brought together 45 first ladies, including Brigitte Macron, to deliberate on expanding access to educational tools and safeguarding children in digital environments.

A major highlight of the event was the introduction of an American-made humanoid system known as Figure 3, marking the first time such advanced technology was formally showcased to international leaders in a diplomatic setting at the White House.

Speaking at the summit, Melania Trump emphasised the growing role of artificial intelligence in shaping the future, noting that AI would soon evolve from mobile devices to humanoid systems capable of delivering practical services.

“The future of AI is personified – it will be formed in the shape of humans. Very soon artificial intelligence will move from our mobile phones to humanoids that deliver utility,” she said.

She added that such technological advancements could redefine global power dynamics, stressing the need for countries to prepare younger generations with the necessary skills to thrive in the emerging landscape.

Representatives from nine countries, including the United States, France, Poland, United Arab Emirates, and Morocco, presented strategies for integrating technology into their education systems.

Melania called for stronger global collaboration to turn the summit’s vision into reality, urging participating nations to invest in initiatives that will equip young people with relevant digital and technological skills.
