TUC Women Commission honours NSITF boss Faleye with Award of Excellence
The Trade Union Congress (TUC) Nigeria Women Commission has presented the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Barrister Oluwaseun Faleye, with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his leadership and contributions to women development and gender equity.
The award was presented during the International Women’s Day Celebration and Award Night organised by the commission in Abuja.
Presenting the award, the Chairperson of the TUC Nigeria Women Commission, Comrade Esther Asabe Ahmadu, said Faleye was honoured for his visionary leadership, integrity and outstanding service, which she noted had inspired progress and made a lasting impact.
She explained that the recognition was also in appreciation of his unwavering support and commitment to advancing gender equality, promoting decent work and protecting the rights and dignity of women in the workplace.
According to Ahmadu, Faleye has demonstrated a deep understanding of inclusive and equitable workplaces through consistent support for initiatives that empower women, promote fairness and strengthen social protection for workers.
While receiving the award, Faleye expressed appreciation to the TUC Women Commission for the recognition, describing the honour as encouragement to continue supporting policies that promote equality and safe working environments.
He dedicated the award to the hardworking staff of the renewed NSITF, noting that their dedication made the achievements possible.
Faleye also reaffirmed his commitment to advancing gender inclusion and equality, as well as promoting safe and healthy workplaces for all workers.
The award ceremony, which took place in Abuja on Wednesday, concluded a series of activities organised by the TUC Women Commission to mark the 2026 International Women’s Day celebration.
