Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently holding a closed-door meeting with Nigeria’s service chiefs as concerns grow over increasing attacks on security personnel and military facilities across the country.
The development was disclosed on Thursday in a statement shared on X by the president’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The meeting comes barely a day after the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, also held discussions with the service chiefs amid the rising security challenges.
The service chiefs and the newly appointed Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Tunji Disu, were said to have arrived at the Villa without their official vehicles.
At the time of filing this report, details of the meeting could not be ascertained.
