Video shows alleged high bandit kingpins inside Nigerian Senator’s residence
High-profile bandit kingpins have allegedly been found inside the residence of a Nigerian senator, according to a video circulating on social media.
Popular Nigerian digital creator, D English Alhaji, shared the video on Saturday, claiming it showed the alleged terrorists inside the senator’s residence.
However, the identity of the senator was not disclosed in the video or the accompanying post.
The men, whose faces were clearly visible, were also reportedly seen with Nigerian passports allegedly obtained for them.
A passport displayed in the video was reported to bear the name Lawal Usman Shehu.
The circumstances surrounding the presence of the men in the alleged residence remain unclear.
The claim has not been independently verified, and there was no immediate confirmation from the senator, the police, the military or other relevant security agencies.
It is therefore unclear whether the individuals shown in the video are indeed wanted bandit leaders, whether the residence belongs to a serving senator, or how the passports allegedly displayed in the footage were obtained.
The allegation comes amid continuing security concerns over banditry and other forms of criminal violence in parts of Nigeria, particularly in the North-West and North-Central regions.
Further clarification from security agencies and other parties involved would be required to establish the authenticity of the claims and the identities of those shown in the video.
