2027: Obi, Kwankwaso meet NDC guber candidates in Abuja
The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, and his running mate, Rabi’u Kwankwaso, on Monday held a meeting with some governorship candidates of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting was disclosed in a statement shared on the party’s verified X handle on Monday.
According to the statement, the meeting focused on strategies and preparations for the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
The engagement brought together the party’s presidential leadership and some of its governorship candidates as the NDC continues to strengthen its preparations for the election.
According to the statement, the leaders also assessed readiness for the elections and emphasised coordinated campaigns, designed to deliver victory for its candidates at every level.
It added that the high-level meeting had in attendance the NDC governorship candidates for Bauchi State, Ibrahim Kashim; Sokoto State, Shamsu Aliyu; and Borno State, Sunusi Kashim Ibrahim.
Others present in the meeting included Buba Galadima, NDC State Chairmen of Kebbi and Sokoto, Alhaji Mustapha Umar and Alhaji Bello Sani Yabo respectively, among other leaders.
