Vinicius Junior, Hakimi shine as Morocco, Brazil share points in World Cup opener
Five-time world champions Brazil were forced to battle back from an early setback to secure a 1-1 draw against African champions Morocco in their opening Group C match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Morocco stunned the South Americans with a brilliantly executed counter-attacking move finished by Ismael Saibari, handing the Atlas Lions a deserved lead and putting Brazil under immediate pressure.
