BREAKING: S&P Global strikes deal to buy majority stake in Agusto & Co.
S&P Global has announced an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Agusto & Co., a leading Pan-African credit rating agency with operations across Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, and Ghana.
The global ratings and financial information company disclosed the development in a statement released on Tuesday, saying the acquisition is aimed at strengthening its presence in Africa’s growing financial markets.
Agusto & Co. is widely recognized for providing credit ratings, research, and advisory services to financial institutions, corporations, and governments across the continent.
The transaction is expected to enhance S&P Global’s footprint in Africa while expanding access to international credit rating expertise.
The investment, described asd a strategic step for both companies, will complement and support the growth strategy of the S&P Global ratings division in Africa.
