The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has said leaders of the party in the South-West have reaffirmed their resolve to secure victory in the state’s August 15 governorship election.

Oyebamiji made the disclosure on Monday after a strategic meeting held at the Lagos House in Marina.

The meeting brought together key APC stakeholders, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, former Osun State Governor Chief Bisi Akande, as well as the APC governorship candidates for Oyo, Ogun and Lagos states.

According to Oyebamiji, the meeting focused on strengthening the party’s campaign and ensuring a united front ahead of the Osun governorship election.

He expressed confidence that the support and commitment of the party’s South-West leadership would boost the APC’s chances of winning the poll scheduled for August 15.

According to him, the meeting focused on reviewing campaign plans and strengthening collaboration ahead of the poll.

He wrote on X, “This evening at the Lagos State House, Marina, I met with leaders of our party from the Southwest, including the Executive Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency @jidesanwoolu; the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency @LuckyAiyedatiwa; our Baba Chief Bisi Akande; and my brother candidates from Oyo, Ogun and Lagos States, for a strategic engagement focused on the road ahead for our campaign.

“The meeting presented an opportunity to review our plans, align our efforts, and reinforce our shared commitment to delivering victory for the All Progressives Congress (@OfficialAPCNg) in the August 15 governorship election.”

Oyebamiji said the leaders also reaffirmed party unity and collaboration as key to the APC’s electoral success in the Southwest.

“At the meeting, we reaffirmed unity, effective collaboration, and shared determination as veritable pillars strengthening our party within the region.

“I am inspired by the invaluable insights, encouragement, and unwavering support of our leaders, whose wealth of experience continues to strengthen our resolve to build a winning campaign and offer Osun the purposeful leadership it deserves,” his post read.

He reiterated his campaign promises, saying his administration would prioritise economic growth, youth empowerment and responsible governance if elected.

The guber candidate stated, “Our mission remains clear: to restore sustainable economic growth, create opportunities for our youth, empower our people, and deliver responsible governance that will improve the lives of every resident of Osun State.

“We will continue to engage stakeholders and communities with sincerity, humility, and a clear vision for a prosperous future.”

The APC candidate also expressed confidence that the party would emerge victorious at the poll.

“I remain grateful for the confidence reposed in me and assured that, with the support of our party, the National Campaign Council, and the good people of Osun State, we will, by the grace of God, secure victory and usher in a new era of shared prosperity for our dear state,” he concluded.
