1. Hardware Engineer (Repair Centre)
The Hardware Engineer will serve as the technical authority within a repair centre, bridging hands-on repair operations with engineering-level quality control.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that repaired terminals meet the required standards before redeployment, while also improving technician capabilities and identifying the root causes of recurring quality problems.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Design electronic hardware circuits and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Design printed circuit board (PCB) layouts according to specifications.
- Create, maintain and update engineering aspects of designs and products, including parts and bills of materials.
- Develop processes and procedures for training technicians to meet specified repair standards and technical requirements.
- Create, maintain and update repair procedures.
- Conduct testing of products and tools and recommend modifications or corrections where design deficiencies are identified.
- Research, plan and analyse hardware designs and modifications to determine their feasibility.
- Research and analyse hardware product specifications and manuals.
- Maintain detailed documentation of repair processes, results and issues identified.
- Work closely with repair technicians, hardware engineers and relevant teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve repair processes, quality and efficiency.
- Perform other duties assigned by the line manager.
Requirements
Candidates should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field, preferably.
- Experience in terminal repair is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to reconcile discrepancies and identify areas for improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

2. Application Security Engineer
The Application Security Engineer will be responsible for protecting Moniepoint’s digital assets by implementing and maintaining security measures for its applications.
The role involves identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, supporting compliance with relevant standards and contributing to the overall security of the company’s applications.
Key Responsibilities
Security Assessment
- Conduct security assessments of applications using manual and automated testing.
- Identify and evaluate vulnerabilities in web and mobile applications.
Security Architecture
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the application development lifecycle.
- Design and implement security controls to protect sensitive data and ensure application confidentiality, integrity and availability.
Penetration Testing
- Conduct penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommend remediation strategies.
Incident Response
- Contribute to incident response activities involving application security incidents.
- Work with relevant teams to investigate and resolve security incidents.
Compliance
- Ensure applications comply with relevant security standards, regulations and industry best practices.
- Monitor emerging security threats and industry trends to proactively address potential risks.
Training and Awareness
- Develop and deliver security training for development teams on secure coding practices.
- Keep stakeholders informed about emerging vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
Security Tools
- Manage and configure security tools for continuous application-security monitoring and analysis.
- Keep up with developments in security technologies and incorporate relevant tools into the security framework.
Requirements
Candidates should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Application Security Specialist or in a similar position.
- In-depth knowledge of application security principles, practices and common vulnerabilities.
- Hands-on experience with security testing tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and application security frameworks.
- Strong understanding of web application architecture and cloud-based environments.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to application security.
Certifications such as OSCP, CEH, LPT, GPEN, CISSP or equivalent qualifications are an advantage.
