The Accord Party has called for the immediate resignation of the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ola Olukoyede, over the controversy surrounding the freezing of the Osun State Government’s bank accounts.

The party made the demand on Friday while praising President Bola Tinubu for directing the EFCC to lift the restriction placed on the state’s accounts.

According to the party, the incident raised concerns about the conduct of the anti-graft agency, insisting that the EFCC chairman should step down to take responsibility for the development. It also commended the President for intervening and ordering the reversal of the account freeze.
