Bandits invade Benue community, kills two, others missing
Suspected armed herdsmen have carried out new attacks on Div, Nzaav and Jato-Aka communities in the Turan area of Kwande Local Government in Benue State, resulting in the deaths of two people and leaving many others injured.
Very Nigerian reports that the two confirmed victims, identified as Iornenge Utyo and Ywerkaa Tsavnande, were found dead after the incident, while several residents, mostly women and children, are still unaccounted for as search efforts continue across the affected areas.
Community members said the attackers invaded the villages in the early hours of the day, causing many people to flee into nearby bushes to escape.
Residents are calling for urgent security intervention to prevent further bloodshed and displacement in the affected communities.
