Armed bandits have abducted a judge of the Kebbi State High Court, Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza, from his residence in Bunza Local Government Area of the state.

The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday at the judge’s home located along Zogirma Road in Bunza town.

Very Nigerian reports that the attackers struck shortly after Justice Bunza returned home from a trip to Sokoto State.

Details surrounding the abduction remain unclear, while security agencies are yet to issue an official statement on the incident or provide updates on efforts to secure the judge’s release.

“He had just returned from Sokoto when the gunmen stormed his residence and took him away,” a source said told Very Nigerian.

The source added that, although nobody in the house was hurt, the attackers were shooting sporadically before moving away with him.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Kebbi State Command, SP Bashir Usman, confirmed the abduction.
