BREAKING: Cherubim and Seraphim worldwide leader Emmanuel Alogbo passes away at 93
The Spiritual Father and Leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, Most Reverend Emmanuel Alogbo, has passed away at the age of 93.
The church confirmed his death in a statement released on Thursday, announcing that the revered cleric died peacefully in the early hours of the day at his residence in Lagos.
The statement, signed by the church’s Secretary-General, Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye, described Alogbo’s passing as a significant loss to the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide and the Christian community.
Alogbo served as the spiritual head of the church for several years, providing leadership and guidance to members across Nigeria and beyond.
According to the statement, the cleric passed away at about 2:10 a.m. while surrounded by members of his family and domestic staff.
“With gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent, on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire church, I write to inform you all that our Spiritual Father was called to glory in the early hours of today, July 30, 2026, at about 2:10 a.m.,” the statement read.
The statement added that details of the funeral arrangements would be announced at a later date.
