Federal University Otuoke (FUOTUOKE) announces fresh recruitment for academic, administrative positions

The Federal University Otuoke (FUOTUOKE), Bayelsa State, has announced vacancies for qualified candidates seeking appointment into academic and senior administrative positions across selected faculties, departments and directorates.

Vacancies are available at the Senior Lecturer, Reader and Professor levels in:

• Marine and Blue Economy Studies
• Crop Science and Sustainable Agriculture
• Animal Science and Sustainable Livestock Systems

Faculty of Pharmacy

The university is recruiting Senior Lecturers, Readers and Professors in:

• Social and Public Health Pharmacy

Requirements for Academic Positions

Candidates applying for the academic positions are expected to possess good B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees, or equivalent qualifications, obtained from recognised universities.

Applicants must also have:

• Relevant teaching and research experience in an approved tertiary institution;
• Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals;
• Ability to initiate, develop and supervise research projects; and
• Other qualifications and conditions stipulated in the Federal University Otuoke Rules and Regulations Governing Conditions of Service of Senior Staff 2023.

• At least 15 years of post-NYSC experience; and
• Other requirements contained in the university’s Rules and Regulations Governing Conditions of Service of Senior Staff 2023.

Deputy Director, Public Relations — CONTISS 14

The position is under the Directorate of Public Relations.

Applicants must possess:

• Five O’Level credit passes, including Mathematics and English Language;
• An honours degree from a recognised university in Mass Communication, English Studies or another relevant field in the Humanities or Social Sciences;
• NYSC discharge or exemption certificate;
• Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR); and
• At least 18 years of cognate experience.

Other conditions are subject to the university’s Rules and Regulations Governing Conditions of Service of Senior Staff 2023.
