INEC names Tinubu, Atiku, Obi, 15 others in 2027 presidential race (Full List)

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reportedly published its final list of 18 presidential candidates and their running mates for the 2027 general elections.

The document, signed by the commission’s Secretary, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, lists President Bola Tinubu as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar as the flagbearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi as the candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

Other candidates on the list include Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Sandy Ojang Onor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and former Cross River State Governor Donald Duke of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).

The list also names Rufai Adekunle Omo-Aje of the Action Alliance (AA), Abbas-Bin Aliyu of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Yusuf Kabiru of the Action Peoples Party (APP), and Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress (AAC).

Sunday Adenuga is listed as the presidential candidate of the Boot Party, while Adebisi Olusoji is named as the candidate of the Democratic Labour Alliance (DLA).

Other candidates are Sunday Okereke of the Labour Party (LP), Adewole Adebayo of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Peter Agada of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), and Nwanyanwu Daberechukwu of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).

The list also features two female presidential candidates: Ada Elizabeth Frederick Okwori of the National Democratic Party (NDP) and Nkem Esther Okereke of the National Rescue Movement (NRM).

Four women are listed as vice-presidential candidates, including Peace Egobia of the APP, Nafisat Usaku of the DLA, Hajja Konto of the LP, and Patience Key of the YPP.

According to the published details, the presidential candidates are aged between 35 and 79, while their running mates range from 35 to 80.

The oldest presidential candidate is listed as 79 years old, while another candidate is aged 74.

The publication of the list comes ahead of the 2027 general elections, in which political parties and their candidates are expected to contest for the presidency.
