Hull City have made a sensational return to the Premier League, stunning Manchester United 2–0 at the MKM Stadium.
Nigerian defender Semi Ajayi opened the scoring for Hull with a powerful header from a corner, before Nobel Mendy doubled the advantage from another set-piece. Both goals exposed Manchester United’s vulnerability in dead-ball situations.
The victory marks a dream start to Hull’s first Premier League campaign in nine years, while United face an early setback under manager Michael Carrick.
