Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has continued to signal his new political direction, this time with music.
Just a day after officially dumping the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC), the governor broke into a chant openly pledging loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The moment was captured on Wednesday during the inauguration of the extension and dualisation of the Ahoada–Omoku Road, where Fubara led the crowd in a call-and-response chorus:
“If you dey support Tinubu, no follow corner corner.”
“We support Tinubu, we no dey follow corner corner.”
“If you Dey support Tinubu, no follow corner corner. We support Tinubu, we no Dey follow corner corner.”

Fubara’s defection marks one of the most significant political shifts in Rivers State in recent years and could reshape the balance of power across the South-South.
