Nollywood mourns as actor Okiki Adesina ‘Janmole’ dies in fatal car crash
Veteran Nigerian filmmaker and comedian, Okiki Adesina, popularly known as Janmole, has died following a ghastly motor accident on Monday.
The tragic incident was confirmed on Tuesday by the President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin, who announced the news on his Instagram page.
In his tribute, Amusan wrote:
“May the soul of our departed colleague, Adesina Okiki Janmole, who tragically lost his life in an accident, rest in perfect peace. May God grant his family, friends, and colleagues the strength and comfort to bear this irreparable loss. He will be greatly missed. Amen.”
Janmole, a well-known figure in the Yoruba movie industry, was admired for his comic roles and creative contributions to Nollywood.
His death comes almost four years after he survived a fire incident along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, an ordeal that previously drew concern across the entertainment industry.
The circumstances surrounding the latest accident were still unclear as of the time of filing this report.
