Osimhen scores Hat-Trick to help Galatasaray beat Ajax 3–0 in UCL

Victor Osimhen starred as Galatasaray delivered a stunning 3–0 win against Ajax at the Johan Cruyff Arena, with the Nigerian forward netting a hat-trick, including two penalties.

The Turkish side dominated proceedings, leaving Ajax struggling to cope with their intensity and precision.

After a tight first half, Osimhen broke the deadlock in the 59th minute, heading home a Leroy Sané cross with power and precision.

He extended Galatasaray’s lead in the 66th minute from the penalty spot, following a handball by Youri Baas.

The victory was sealed in the 78th minute when Osimhen converted a second penalty after another handball, this time by Gerald Alders, completing his hat-trick and ensuring a comprehensive win for the visitors.

Despite creating a few chances through Oscar Gloukh and Mika Godts, Ajax failed to break down a resilient Galatasaray defence, which remained solid throughout the match.

Osimhen’s performance also saw him surpass Obafemi Martins’ record for European club goals.

With 22 goals across European competitions, 12 in the UEFA Champions League and 10 in the UEFA Europa League, Osimhen moved just one ahead of Martins’ tally of 23, ultimately bringing his total to 25 and setting a new record.
