Panic as APC Chairman collapses, dies during meeting in Kogi
There was panic in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State on Friday after the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the council, Oyewole Mayowa Solomon, collapsed and died during a party reconciliation meeting.
Very Nigerian reports that the incident occurred during a meeting organised by a former APC chairman in the area, Funsho Olumoko, to promote unity among party stakeholders.
Solomon was reportedly participating in the meeting when he suddenly collapsed, leaving other participants confused and shocked.
The cause of his death was not immediately disclosed.
It was learnt he was rushed to a hospital in Kabba for medical attention but passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital.
At the time of filing this report, the circumstances surrounding his sudden death had not been officially disclosed.
