Super Falcons’ star goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has been shortlisted for the 2025 Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper Award, recognizing her outstanding performances over the past year.

FIFA announced the commencement of the voting process for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025 on Thursday, inviting fans worldwide to cast their votes for the top players, coaches, and goalkeepers via the official FIFA app.

Nnadozie, who plays for Paris FC in France, will compete against some of the world’s best shot-stoppers, including Ann-Katrin Berger (Germany), Cata Coll (Spain), Christiane Endler (Chile), Hannah Hampton (England), Anna Moorhouse (England), and Phallon Tullis-Joyce (USA).

Her nomination adds to a growing list of international recognitions for the Nigerian goalkeeper, who has consistently impressed in both club and international football.

The reigning African Goalkeeper of the Year made the shortlist after a remarkable campaign in the 2024/25 season, where she inspired her former club, Paris FC, to the Coupe de France Féminine, their first title in about 20 years.

She was also crucial to Nigeria’s 10th WAFCON triumph in Morocco earlier this year, where she was also named the Goalkeeper of the Tournament.

After joining Brighton Women in England, Nnadozie has kept up her consistent performance at club level, and she was also nominated for the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy at the Ballon d’Or, where she finished fourth.

The 24-year-old is in contention for a third CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year at the upcoming CAF Awards ceremony.

Voting for the FIFA Best Awards will end on November 28, while the awards will be handed out to the winners at a ceremony early next year.
