Workers at the Delta State Secretariat in Asaba on Friday reportedly shut down the complex following the death of a Deputy Director in the Ministry of Secondary Education, Mr Unity Ekpevbughe Adeda.
Adeda reportedly died on Thursday, September 24, 2026, following an altercation, sparking tension among workers at the secretariat.
Following the incident, workers reportedly disrupted official activities and shut the secretariat as they demanded clarification on the circumstances surrounding the Deputy Director’s death.
The development reportedly caused panic among staff and brought activities at the government complex to a halt as workers sought answers over what led to the incident.
