Nollywood star Regina Daniels has taken a swipe at her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, while appreciating fans and colleagues for their overwhelming love and support during their ongoing marital dispute.

In a video posted on her Instagram page, the actress thanked her supporters and mocked Nwoko for allegedly thinking she would lose public sympathy.

“Do you know it is such a big deal to be loved by a lot of people? Can I brag on that? Can I actually brag that I am loved?” she said in the emotional clip. “Jokes on you, Ned, because you thought people would hate me.”

Daniels expressed relief over the release of her brother from police custody, saying the ordeal had been emotionally draining but also empowering. “Type shit, and my brother is out. One battle down. You people mocked me on this internet, but the mockery gave me courage to stand because I don’t like to be mocked or pitied,” she added.

The actress revealed that countless fans, friends, and celebrities have stood by her throughout the crisis. Among those who publicly expressed support for her were Mercy Johnson, Mercy Aigbe, Mary Njoku, Toyin Lawani, Doris Ogala, Yvonne Jegede, Oma Nnadi, and Georgina Onuoha.

Her recent comments come amid growing tension between her and Nwoko. Two weeks ago, Regina accused the senator of subjecting her to domestic abuse and restricting her freedom during their marriage.

Nwoko, however, denied the allegations, claiming the actress struggled with “drug and alcohol abuse” and displayed violent tendencies, accusations she has firmly denied.

The situation worsened when Regina alleged that Nwoko ordered the arrest and assault of her siblings after she refused to reconcile with him or attend a rehabilitation program.

Despite the controversies, Daniels maintains that she has no regrets about her past, describing her marriage as a lesson in her life’s journey. “I don’t regret anything,” she said. “My marriage to Ned was a path I was meant to take.”
