FRSC announces nationwide recruitment exercise for 2026
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the commencement of its 2026 recruitment exercise, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for positions across its officer, marshal inspectorate and road marshal assistant cadres.
In a recruitment notice issued on Thursday, the corps said the exercise is aimed at strengthening its workforce and improving service delivery nationwide.
According to the notice, vacancies are available for the positions of Superintendent Route Commander (SRC), Route Commander/Deputy Route Commander (RC/DRC), Assistant Route Commander (ARC), Marshal Inspector II and III, as well as Road Marshal Assistant I, II and III.
The FRSC said applicants for officer cadre positions must possess relevant university degrees or Higher National Diplomas (HNDs) from recognised institutions, while candidates applying for marshal inspectorate and road marshal assistant positions must meet the academic and professional requirements for their respective cadres.
The corps added that artisans, drivers and riders with relevant qualifications and experience are also eligible to apply under the road marshal assistant cadre.
Applicants must be Nigerians by birth, computer literate and medically fit, while possession of a valid National Driver’s Licence will serve as an added advantage.
Other requirements include a certificate of medical fitness from a government-approved hospital, relevant professional licences where applicable, and minimum height requirements of 1.65 metres for males and 1.58 metres for females.
The FRSC also stated that applicants must be of good character, free from financial embarrassment and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence.
According to the corps, applications will open on Friday, July 3, 2026, and will remain open for four weeks through the official FRSC recruitment portal.
The agency stressed that the recruitment exercise is completely free, warning applicants to beware of fraudsters, as no payment is required at any stage of the process.
