JUST IN: Dangote refinery cuts petrol, diesel prices nationwide
Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a fresh reduction in the prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, and Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), also known as diesel, across the country.
The 700,000-barrel-per-day refinery lowered its ex-gantry price for petrol from N1,215 to N1,165 per litre. It also reduced the price of diesel from N1,650 to N1,570 per litre.
This means the mega refinery has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel by N50 and N80 per litre, respectively.
Very Nigerian reports reports that the latest reduction in petrol and diesel prices by Dangote Refinery is expected to further drive down retail pump prices across Nigeria.
Recall that the National President of the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria, PETROAN, Billy Gillis-Harry, told Very Nigerian reports that petroleum product prices would decline further if landing costs continue to fall.
