Ronaldo nets 977th career goal as Al Nassr crush Al Riyadh 4-0
Cristiano Ronaldo made a strong return to action on Friday, scoring as Al Nassr cruised to a 4-0 victory over Al Riyadh.
The Portugal captain started the match on the bench but was introduced in the second half as Al Nassr continued to control proceedings.
Al Amri put Al Nassr ahead in the 18th minute, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead before the half-time break.
Ronaldo later made his mark after coming on, helping Al Nassr complete a comfortable victory and maintain their dominance over Al Riyadh.
Angelo extended the advantage shortly after half-time, finding the net in the 46th minute. Joao Felix then added a third in the 58th minute to put the result beyond doubt.
Ronaldo completed the scoring in the 83rd minute, finishing off a well-worked move after being set up by Yahya.
The goal, according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, was Ronaldo’s 977th career goal.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner had been left out of Al Nassr’s starting XI in their previous fixture and watched from the stands as the club defeated Al Fateh.
His return to the pitch and immediate contribution will further boost Al Nassr as they continue their campaign in Saudi football.
