Super Eagles Coach Chelle picks two assistants for U-23 team
Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has appointed Bright Osehai Ozebagbe and Deniran Ortega as his two assistant coaches for the U-23 team.
Ozebagbe currently serves as the technical adviser of Ikorodu City, while Ortega is regarded as one of Nigeria’s promising young coaches.
Ortega is a UEFA-licensed coach who received his training from the Scottish Football Association. He is also one of the assistant coaches of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles.
The appointments are expected to strengthen the technical team as Chelle continues preparations for the U-23 side.
The U-23 Eagles are expected to open camp in Abuja soon, ahead of the team’s qualifiers for the 2028 Olympic Games slated for Los Angeles, USA.
Nigeria last qualified for the football event of the Olympic Games in 2016.
The Olympic Eagles will face either Mauritania or Democratic Republic of Congo in a second round qualifying fixture in November.
