The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, Comrade Grace Ike, has been honoured with the Excellence in Media Leadership and Advocacy Award by the School of Communications and Media Studies, Learn To Live Business School UK (LLBSUK).
The recognition was one of the major highlights of the institution’s 2025 Post-Graduate Awards ceremony, which celebrated graduates from Cohorts 1 and 2.

Among the new graduates were Mrs. Funmilayo Evelyn Akintola, Gloria Ikiba, Arith, Yecenu Joyce Sasetu and others who successfully completed the demanding programme.
Presenting the award, former Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) and Chairman of AFIA Television, Chief Emeka Mba, described Comrade Ike as a trailblazer in media leadership whose work continues to shape national conversations.
He noted that her long-standing commitment to advocacy, mentorship, and the defence of press freedom has earned her significant respect across Nigeria’s media landscape.
