One person has reportedly died, while several others sustained injuries after a bus conveying members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) women’s group was involved in a road accident in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

The accident occurred along Oron Road when a Toyota Hilux bus collided with the vehicle conveying the APC women, leaving one person reportedly dead and several others injured.

The women were said to have been travelling in the bus when the crash occurred. However, details surrounding the circumstances of the accident were still emerging as of the time of filing this report.

The injured victims reportedly sustained varying degrees of injuries, while the reported death has raised concerns among party members and residents of the state.

The exact cause of the accident and the number of people involved had yet to be confirmed.
