Argentina stars hire private security to protect thier homes after World Cup win over England
Two Argentina internationals reportedly hired private security firms to protect their homes in the United Kingdom following Argentina’s victory over England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to The Sun, the players are Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez and Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.
The report said security personnel patrolled their homes for two days amid heightened emotions after Argentina’s dramatic World Cup triumph over England.
It added that there were no reported attempts to vandalise the properties of either Martinez or Mac Allister.
Argentina came from behind to defeat England 2-1 in the World Cup semi-final at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Anthony Gordon gave the Three Lions the lead before Enzo Fernandez and Lautaro Martinez scored to seal Argentina’s place in the final.
