The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Lagos chapter, has announced plans to begin an indefinite strike.
The union said the decision followed what it described as “amputated” salaries paid to its members for January and February 2026 by the university management.
This was contained in a communiqué issued after an emergency meeting held on Tuesday.
The communiqué was jointly signed by the union’s chairperson, Idou Kehinde, and its secretary, Adesina Arikawe.
According to the union, the indefinite strike would commence from Wednesday till the university management accede to its demands.
