BREAKING: JAMB pegs cut-off mark at 150 for 2026 university admissions

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has fixed 150 as the minimum cut-off mark for admission into Nigerian universities for the 2026 academic session.

The decision was reached on Monday during the ongoing 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions taking place in Abuja, with the Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, alongside heads of tertiary institutions and other stakeholders in attendance.

The annual policy meeting is convened to determine admission guidelines for universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions across the country, including minimum admission benchmarks and related procedures.

More details are expected to emerge from the meeting.
