Sanwo-Olu, Fashola, Ambode, Gbajabiamila named as Lagos APC unveils 2027 Campaign Council (Full List)
The list was released on Thursday by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre as the party steps up preparations for the 2027 elections.
The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled its campaign council for the 2027 general elections, with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and former governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode among those named in the leadership structure.
The list was released on Thursday by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre as the party steps up preparations for the 2027 elections.
Sanwo-Olu was given key responsibilities in both the advisory and campaign structures, while Prince Tajudeen Olusi was named Chairman of the Governance Advisory Council.
The governor will serve as Chairman of the Advisory Council, with Fashola and Ambode designated as co-chairmen.
Other members of the advisory structure include President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa; and former Minister of Health, Adeleke Mamora.
The structure also lists Obasa as Vice Chairman II, while Ojelabi Cornelius and Damilola Sonayon James will serve as Vice Chairman I and Vice Chairman III respectively.
At the campaign council level, Sanwo-Olu will serve as chairman, while his deputy, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, will be the deputy chairman.
Former Senator Musiliu Obanikoro was named Director-General of the campaign council, with Rasaq Ajala appointed Deputy Director-General and Adekunle Olayinka as Campaign Secretary.
The campaign council comprises various directorates and committees assigned to different areas of the electioneering process.
Among them are legal and compliance, party and inter-party affairs, administration and logistics, traditional institutions, diaspora engagement and residents’ associations.
The unveiling comes as the Lagos APC intensifies its preparations for the 2027 general elections.
Hamzat has already emerged as the party’s governorship candidate, with Damilola Sonayon-James selected as his running mate.
The formal inauguration of the campaign council is scheduled for Friday, September 18, at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja.
