2027 Will be the easiest election for Tinubu, I’ll Deliver FCT, Rivers — Wike
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has expressed confidence that the 2027 presidential election will be the easiest for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pledging to deliver the FCT and Rivers State to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Wike made the declaration while speaking on TVC News’ Journalists’ Hangout, where he discussed Tinubu’s performance and his prospects ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“The 2027 election will be the easiest election. People will say, ‘Wike, I don’t like your style.’ Who told you I like your own style? Put facts on the ground. Who is better off? Who can win an election today in Rivers State for any presidential candidate?” he said.
The FCT Minister also challenged critics to identify a politician capable of standing against Tinubu in the nation’s capital, pointing to the infrastructure projects undertaken by the President’s administration in Abuja.
According to Wike, the projects and developments in the FCT could influence residents’ political choices ahead of the 2027 election.
He further expressed confidence in his political influence in Rivers State, reiterating his commitment to securing support for Tinubu and the APC in the state “very early” in the election.
Wike has consistently declared support for Tinubu’s re-election, despite his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
His latest remarks come as political parties and their supporters intensify preparations for the 2027 general elections.
