The Department of State Services (DSS) has arraigned former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, over allegations bordering on the unlawful access of a telephone conversation involving the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
El-Rufai, who also previously served as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, is facing prosecution on an amended five-count charge before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
At the commencement of proceedings on Thursday, the prosecution informed the court that the initial three-count charge had been expanded to five counts.
Details of the additional charges were not immediately made public as the matter proceeded before the court.
