The Confederation of African Football has announced a new date for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, confirming that the competition will now take place between July and August 2026.
In a statement released on Thursday, the continental football governing body said the adjustment was part of efforts to ensure proper organisation and scheduling of the tournament.
The Women’s Africa Cup of Nations is Africa’s biggest women’s football competition, bringing together national teams from across the continent to compete for the title.
CAF did not immediately provide further details about the exact dates or reasons for the rescheduling.
