Philip Aduda meets APC leadership after dumping PDP
Former Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, Philip Aduda, is currently in a closed-door meeting with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and members of the party’s National Working Committee.
The meeting is taking place at the Muhammadu Buhari House, APC National Secretariat, Wuse II, Abuja.
Aduda arrived alongside the newly elected chairmen of Bwari and Kuje Area Councils, Joshua Ishaku and Danjuma Shekwolo, respectively.
This development comes hours after Aduda formally resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing internal crises within the opposition party.
In a resignation letter addressed to the PDP Chairman of Karu Ward, Aduda stated:
“I write to formally notify you of my resignation as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect due to the crisis in the party.”
He expressed gratitude to the PDP for opportunities to serve, adding:
“I remain grateful for the opportunity the party gave me to serve in various elective positions in our nation. Please accept the assurances of my highest esteem.”
The meeting with the APC is being viewed as a significant political move, potentially signalling Aduda’s next steps ahead of future political realignments.
