Former Kano State Governor and NDC vice-presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has reacted to videos circulating from parts of Northern Nigeria showing what appears to be growing support for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Asked about the “Sai Atiku” videos during an interview with Arise TV, Kwankwaso responded: “I think that is AI.”

His brief response comes amid increased political activity and competing narratives ahead of the 2027 general election, with videos and messages supporting various political figures circulating widely on social media.

Kwankwaso did not, in the quoted response, provide further details explaining why he believed the videos were AI-generated.

The authenticity and origin of specific videos circulating online would need to be independently verified before the footage can be treated as evidence of an actual political gathering or level of support.
